We spent the week between Christmas and New Years. Rented both houses for two family groups. It was wonderful to be a little removed from the dust and traffic of the beach road. The view is incredible and the outdoor space was amazing. The pool was perfect, refreshing and spotlessly clean and it was nice alternative when we didn’t feel like driving down to the beach. The road up definitely requires a 4WD or quad. It’s really too far and too steep to walk into town, so be aware of that. The caretakers were helpful and communicative and kept everything very clean.

The view: no picture can describe it better than being there, at sunset or at sunrise!
We rented both houses, one is a bit older but fully equipped and one is newer with an amazing balcony and shower overseeing the Malpais area. We had an amazing time due to the small details: hammocks, towels in the common areas, pillows, ambient light, sound system all around the pool, etc.
I strongly suggest having a 4x4 car to get there.
Don’t hesitate, definitely one of my best places I’ve been to!
